8oz self-raising flour
4oz margarine
2 eggs, beaten
2 cooking apples
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
4oz soft brown sugar
2oz raisins


Grease a loaf tin.
Sift together flour and cinnamon.  
Cream together the fat and sugar
Gradually add the beaten eggs.
Fold in half of the flour
Add the raisin and the apple.
Add the remaining flour, folding in all the time.
Bake below the centre of the oven for 90 minutes at 350 F.
Serve cut in slices buttered.
